Wills
1862-1921

Will records, 1862-1921, have been copied by FamilySearch.org and they are available online at their website.  Each ledger contains an index by last name that is about 48 pages long.  When you find your ancestor’s will, it will show a page number within the ledger.  This number refers to the pages following the index which have large numbers in the upper corner.  When you enter a go to page number, you must allow for the index pages.  After a few attempts to get to the correct page, you will see the pattern.  Follow this web path:

If you do not find the will you are looking for, it is possible that the person died intestate.
