HYDE STEVENS CEMETERY
(Also known as Old Stevens Cemetery)
Paw Paw Township of Dekalb County, IL.

History

 

 The Hyde/Stevens cemetery is located on Hyde road between South Rollo road and Baker road.  A grass driveway is on the East side of Hyde road and is well marked with a cemetery sign. Care  should be taken driving over the grass to the cemetery gateway. This cemetery is well cared for and a very peaceful place in the beautiful countryside of Paw Paw township.

“Mr. William Stevens and Sarah E., his wife, of the town of Paw Paw deeded to the Trustees of Stevens Cemetery:

Commencing at a stone four hundred sixty one (461) feet East from the center of the road on the North line of Section 34 township 37 North Range 3 East, thence East two hundred fifty three (253) feet to a stone, thence South one hundred thirty four (134) feet to a stone, thence West two hundred fifty three (253) feet to a stone thence North one hundred thirty four (134) feet to the place of beginning.

$150.00    dated 04 January 1897.
