History

LOCATED: About Four (4) miles West of Kirkland at the South side of Cherry Valley Road and between Pearl and Paulson’s Roads. Section 2, Franklin Township, DeKalb County, Ill.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

On April 29, 1873 John Suter and Elizabeth Suter his wife to Trustees of Charter Oak Methodist Episcopal Church and their successors in office: To Thomas Campbell, Vincent McCoy, Oscar Lucas and Alanson Gibbs for $130.24, Land situated in Town of Franklin, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois to Wit:
 

Commencing at a point on the North Line of Section 2 in Township 42, Range 3 Thirty Six Rods (36) from the North West corner of said Section thence south forty (40) rods thence West 12 rods thence North 40 rods thence East 12 rods to the place of beginning. 

Now the party of the first part conveys to the party of the second part all of the land thus described lying North of the State Road that runs from St. Charles to Rockford, containing two acres more or less.


The party of the first part reserves the right to use the horse shed now standing on said lot any time and on any occasion and to take possession of and remove the same at any time, said shed to he removed at any time when ordered to do so by the Trustees.
